April 20, 2007– End Sexual Exploitation of Children Day

GEMS is proud to announce that Friday April 20th , 2007 will be the official “End Sexual Exploitation Day” in New York . The day is to recognize and educate the public of the increasing problem of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) throughout New York State . It is estimated that 400,000 children are victims of CSE annually in the United States .

End Sexual Exploitation Day will help to combat the issue and gain supporters for Exploited Children’s Protection Act in NY State, a proposed bill to end the criminalization of sexually exploited youth. For more information about April 20th, please contact our office at 212.926.8089
