TIL Support Services Coordinator

As the TIL Support Services Coordinator, Maria Garcia-Mugg provides individual-based, holistic, and comprehensive support services and case management to TIL residents. Services include scaffold support in education, vocation, health, independent living skills, and building autonomy through goal setting and accountability.

Prior to joining GEMS, Maria taught for six years as a special education teacher in California, working with diverse learners ages 4–18.  Maria earned her Master’s of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, her CA Education Specialist Credential from National University, and her Bachelors of Science in Child Development and Education from Michigan State University.
