Bethany Bezdecheck

Contracts Manager

As Contracts Manager, Bethany Bezdecheck is responsible for ensuring contractual compliance with GEMS’ government funders at the city, state, and federal levels. Bethany corresponds with funding agencies by writing grant proposals, preparing fiscal and programmatic reports, and renewing procurement documentation.

While previously employed with nonprofits such as the American Civil Liberties Union and the Council of Senior Centers and Services, Bethany focused on systems development, fiscal monitoring, and campaign management. She is a published author of a variety of young adult nonfiction titles, and has served as a freelance marketing consultant and copywriter for emerging web-based companies.

In 2004 Bethany received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she majored in English with a focus on creative writing and minored in American Studies with a focus on multicultural relations.
