Aditee Majumdar
Residential Director
As Residential Director, Aditee Majumdar is responsible for overseeing all residential programming at GEMS, including the Transitional Independent Living Program (TIL) and the Supportive Housing programs (Imani House). Both residential programs provide holistic and comprehensive support services, with a residential team of 10 staff, including clinical case manager, housing coordinators, and residential counselors.
Aditee’s professional background includes over 10 years of clinical experience in the field of trauma, victimization, trafficking, and domestic violence. Prior to working at GEMS, Aditee worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital Trauma and Wellness Center as the Clinical Consultant for ACS and the Office of Special Investigations on all cases involving domestic violence and minor sexual trafficking. She was also a mental health therapist for a Chicago-based agency serving immigrant, refugee, and trafficked women and children who are fleeing from violence, supervising the clinical aspects of the emergency shelter and transitional housing program. Aditee has provided her counseling expertise to the International Children’s Center of Chicago, for children who have been internationally trafficked to the U.S. And, she has international experience with her prior work in China for the U.S. State Department, university studies in France, and from her overall love of experiencing different cultures and parts of the world.
Aditee received her Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The George Washington University and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Boston University.
